Kurt Caceres brings in Jennifer O'dell and Diego Serrano to sit down with epic Godhead frontman, Jason Charles Miller on What's Your Name Again? the podcast. The podcasts main title track, Losing My Way, was written, composed and recorded by Jason Charles Miller. Kurt and Jason first met on the set of the live streaming Dungeons & Dragons show, Sirens of the Realms. They instantly built a rapport and camaraderie when Jason picked up his guitar and they all would sing live each week on the popular streaming series.
Jason has co-written songs with artists Marilyn Manson, Billy Ray Cyrus, Ben Moody [Evanescence], Chuck Goff [Toby Keith Band], Jeordie White [Nine Inch Nails], Driver Williams [Eric Church Band]. As a solo artist, Jason has opened for country greats Alan Jackson, Toby Keith, Gary Allan, Eric Church, Justin Moore, Big Kenny of Big and Rich, and Jerrod Niemann. He's produced songs for artists as varied as Bret Michaels, Felicia Day, Godhead, Psyclon 9, Tina Guo and YouTube sensation Drew Tabor. He has written songs for numerous hit TV shows, commercials and video games. He penned the all star collaboration "Forever In Our Hearts," a song to benefit the victims of the 2004 tsunami in South Asia which included Brian McKnight, Mya, Jacoby Shaddix [Papa Roach], Nate Dogg. A multi Gold record winning artist, he also has a massive resume of voice over projects in numerous animated series as well as hit Video Game titles such as World of Warcraft.
As one of the founders and the frontman for Godhead in the 90's, they are the only band ever signed to Marilyn Manson's Posthuman Records. The band has sold more than 250,000 albums, and toured the world with the likes of Manson, Ozzy Osbourne, Disturbed, GWAR, Slipknot, Rammstein, Linkin Park and Korn frontman Jonathan Davis.
Jason sits with Kurt and talks about his recent 40 city tour and what life is like on the road. He also breaks down and gives a real understanding of the the record industry and the different deals between labels and artists in regards to ownership and licensing. The difference between being part of a band or deciding to have a solo career. Collaborating with Critical Role and writing the entire soundtrack for their upcoming Undeadwood Series.
